100% Satisfied with the Outcome of My Case

100% satisfied with the outcome of my case. Even if my case wouldn’t have gone the way it went, I would still give them five stars just off the communication alone. I was so nervous about everything in the beginning because I knew nothing. They literally answered every single question and followed up with a phone call if it seemed necessary.

Excellent Service

Received a speeding ticket on I-5 in Red Bluff, CA on a commercial vehicle. Reached out to Cohen Criminal Law, who was able to help me fight the ticket and get it dismissed. Excellent service and Lisa provided with every update on the case. Thank you, Cohen Criminal Law!

Made the Process Very Simple and Straightforward

After receiving a traffic citation recently, I contacted Gregg to see what my options were and how to best move forward. He and his office made the process very simple and straightforward and dealt with everything independently. The citation was reduced, thanks to him, and I cannot recommend him more.

Attorney Cohen now uses his 30+ years of trial experience on both sides of the criminal prosecution process to zealously defend his clients from the pitfalls of criminal conviction.

DUI Defense

Cohen Criminal Law has significant experience representing people facing DUI charges in Tehama County, Shasta County, or anywhere else in Northern California. Our firm approaches DUI defense differently than other firms here in California–we work to have your charges dismissed immediately. We focus on uncovering the weaknesses of the case brought against you. There are many variables to explore, including, but not limited to, why you were stopped, how they conducted the field sobriety test, and whether the tools used to assess your BAC were calibrated correctly. Give us a call to discuss your case.

What to Do if You’re Stopped By the Police

Your heart’s racing, and those red and blue lights appear in your mirror. What you do next matters. Whether it’s a simple traffic stop or something more serious, you should take the following steps.

  1. Stay calm and pull over safely.
  2. Be respectful, but know your rights. Arguing or acting combatively never helps.
  3. Keep your hands where they can see them. Don’t reach for anything unless you’re told to.
  4. Provide identification when asked.
  5. Exercise your right to remain silent. Don’t explain or defend yourself without an attorney present.
  6. Ask for a lawyer. If you’re being detained, the next words out of your mouth should be, “I want to speak with my attorney.” Then call Cohen Criminal Law.
